MosChip in collaboration with CDS to open world class Training facility in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 7 (UNI) MosChip Institute of Silicon Systems, a fully owned subsidiary of MosChip Technologies, (India’s first publicly traded fabless semiconductor company), which has been contributing to the eco-system by training thousands of students in VLSI design since 2011, on Wednesday announced to open a World-Class VLSI & Embedded Systems Training Facility in collaboration with Cadence Design Systems (CDS) to expand and enhance the program.
Telangana Principal Secretary of Information Technology Jayesh Ranjan will inaugurate the world class training facility located at Aurobindo Galaxy, TSIIC in Hyderabad Knowledge city in the evening, MosChip said in a release.
MosChip has been collaborating with a leading EDA tool provider, CDS, to train students in using cutting edge CAD tools and create a talent pool for the rapidly growing semiconductor industry.
Spreading across 15,000 sq. ft, the state-of-the-art facility can accommodate more than 600 students per year (300 per batch at a time) to train students in multiple domains like Physical Design, Analog Layout, Design Verification & Embedded Systems.
MosChip Managing Director and CEO, Venkata Simhadri, said “Our training facility has been providing world-class training since 2011 and trained thousands of students who are employed in almost every leading semiconductor company in the world.
Our new training facility gives us the ability to serve the growing demands of the industry and extend thanks to EDA partners for their support over the years”, he added.
