Michael Imperioli, Danny Huston and others tapped in for 'Empire City'

Los Angeles, March 3 (UNI) The upcoming action-thriller "Empire City" has broadened its ensemble with the inclusion of Michael Imperioli, Danny Huston, Paul Ben-Victor and Evan Handler, who join lead actor and producer Gerard Butler.
Principal photography has now concluded in Australia, reports DEADLINE.
Directed by Michael Matthews, the story is set against the towering backdrop of New York’s landmark Clybourn Building, where a sudden hostage takeover plunges the city into chaos. Butler portrays Rhett, a former Navy SEAL who has exchanged the theatre of war for the civic duty of firefighting. When the towering skyscraper is seized, he and his rescue unit must force their way through the structure to save those trapped within.
Omari Hardwick stars as Hawkins, the film’s villain.
Imperioli will play Mayor Holloway, who serves as the highest political authority responding to the hostage crisis at the Clybourn Building, fighting to maintain power while the city burns around him.
Huston takes on the role of Charles Clybourn, the calculating heir to the Clybourn real estate fortune whose personal ambitions hide a devastating secret behind the night’s terror. UNI NST
