Mahila Battalion of CISF will encourage women to participate in protecting nation: Shah

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that the establishment of the first all-women battalion of the CISF will fulfill the aspirations of women to participate in crucial task of protecting the nation.

On his social media handle X, Shah said, “In a firm step towards realizing Modi Ji's vision of enhancing women's participation in every field of nation-building, the Modi government has approved the establishment of the first all-women battalion of the CISF”.

He said, “To be raised as an elite troop, the Mahila Battalion will shoulder the responsibility of protecting the nation's critical infrastructure, like airports and metro rails, and providing VIP security as commandos.”

“The decision will certainly fulfill the aspirations of more women to participate in the crucial task of protecting the nation,” Shah said.

It may be mentioned the government on Tuesday approved the establishment of first all-women battalion of CISF.
