Himachal HC dismisss petition by Mata Chintpurni Temple workers for regularisation of their services

Shimla, Dec 2 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh High Court has dismissed a petition filed by a group of Mata Chintpurni Temple workers seeking regularisation of their services after having completed more than eight years or 240 days of work annually on a daily-wage pattern.
The employees, serving as Langar Sevadars, Mandir Sevadars, electricians and other support staff, had approached the court challenging the Commissioner-cum-Deputy Commissioner Una’s order dated July 4, 2022, which had rejected their representation for regularisation.
A single bench of Justice Sandeep Sharma upheld the Commissioner’s decision and ruled that the petitioners were not entitled to claim regularisation at par with government employees nor could they rely upon the precedent set in Ashok Kumar & Others vs State of Himachal Pradesh & Others.
