Gill anchors as Buttler, Sundar power GT to 210/4 against DC

New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) A commanding batting display led by Shubman Gill, and powered by explosive contributions from Jos Buttler and Washington Sundar, took Gujarat Titans to a formidable 210 for four against Delhi Capitals in their Indian Premier League 2026 clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium here on Wednesday.
Gill produced a captain's innings of control and authority, scoring 70 off 45 balls. Walking in early after the first wicket, he paced his knock intelligently, initially playing second fiddle before taking charge through the middle overs.
He was particularly severe on the spinners, striking multiple sixes off Kuldeep Yadav, and brought up his fifty with a composed boundary. His innings finally ended in the 18th over when Lungi Ngidi deceived him with a slower delivery, inducing a mistimed shot that was safely taken by Nitish Rana.
