Fery scripts fairytale, stuns Cobolli to storm into Wimbledon semi-finals

London, July 8 (UNI) British wildcard Arthur Fery produced the biggest victory of his career on Wednesday, dismantling world No. 10 Flavio Cobolli in straight sets to continue his sensational Wimbledon fairytale and become the lowest-ranked men's singles semifinalist at the All England Club in 25 years.
The 23-year-old, ranked No. 114 in the world, outclassed the Italian 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-0 in an impressive display of aggressive all-court tennis on Centre Court, extending a dream run that has captivated home fans and established him as one of the biggest stories of Wimbledon 2026.
Competing in the main draw with only six ATP Tour-level wins to his name, Fery showed remarkable composure against the experienced Cobolli. He claimed the opening set with the only service break in the 10th game, fought back from 0-2 down in the second set before dominating the tie-break, and then completely overwhelmed his opponent in a one-sided third set to wrap up victory in two hours and 14 minutes.
