New Delhi, July 8 (UNI) The FBI, along with law enforcement agencies in the United States, Canada and Spain, has launched ‘Operation Hardball,’ conducting coordinated raids at more than 50 locations targeting the alleged international network linked to gangster .
Authorities said 24 people were arrested and a 37-member indictment was filed in a U.S. court.
The alleged network faces charges including murder, drug trafficking and extortion. According to the U.S. Justice Department, the indictment also alleges the network was involved in a conspiracy related to the 2023 killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a prominent Canadian Sikh separatist, in Canada.
Meanwhile, the FBI has also announced a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of Satbir Singh, another member of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang.
He is wanted for his alleged involvement with the Lawrence Bishnoi organised crime group.
"The FBI has announced a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of Satbir Singh for his involvement with the Lawrence Bishnoi organised crime group," the FBI posted.
According to the FBI, the group is allegedly involved in a range of violent criminal activities across Southern California, as well as other parts of the United States and Canada.
"Anyone with information that could lead to Singh's arrest has been urged to contact the agency," FBI said.
