Education greatest asset in life:Seethakka

Hyderabad, Jan 29 (UNI) Telangana Panchayat Raj, Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka emphasised the transformative power of education, stating that it is the greatest asset in life and the key to development.
Speaking as the chief guest at the Vidyadhan NGO Scholarship Program here on Wednesday, the Minister highlighted the importance of education in shaping lives.
She recalled that the Right to Education Act, introduced by former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s government, made education compulsory for children aged 6-14, ensuring learning opportunities for all.
Seethakka stressed that education is a wealth that no one can steal and that knowledge only grows when shared. She commended the efforts of the Vidyadhan Foundation in supporting education for the underprivileged and assured the state government’s continued support for their noble work.
Reflecting on her own journey, the Minister shared that education played a crucial role in her life. She recounted that after completing her 10th grade, she lived an uncertain life for nearly a decade before resuming her studies. With determination, she went on to earn degrees in LLB, LLM, MA, and PhD.
Despite her responsibilities as an MLA and a Minister, she never stopped pursuing education and announced that she would be enrolling in an MA course this academic year as well.
"Of all charities, education is the greatest. By expanding knowledge to millions, we contribute to society’s development," she remarked. She also acknowledged the persistent gaps in education and development and called for collective efforts to bridge them.
Seethakka emphasised the need to strengthen human values and relationships through education, particularly in today’s changing times. She reaffirmed the Telangana government's unwavering support for the Vidyadhan Foundation.
