Christina Perri and Paul Costabile split after seven years of marriage

Los Angeles, Nov 4 (UNI) Acclaimed singer-songwriter Christina Perri has formally filed for divorce from her husband, Paul Costabile, bringing an end to their seven-year marriage.
According to court filings obtained by PEOPLE from the Superior Court of California, Court of Los Angeles, the 39-year-old A Thousand Years hitmaker cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. The documents also note November 3 as the official date of their split.
Perri and Costabile, who tied the knot on December 12, 2017, share two daughters, Carmella Stanley, 7 and Pixie Rose, 3. Perri is seeking joint custody of their children and has requested that neither party receive spousal support. The documents also mention a prenuptial agreement signed a day before their wedding.
Their love story first came to light on social media in 2017, when Costabile posted an emotional message celebrating their union, writing, "4 years ago today I met my dream girl in this room. 4 years later today I married my dream girl and best friend."
The former couple welcomed their daughter, Carmella, in January 2018. Although the two had yet to announce they were expecting again, in January 2020, Perri announced that she had experienced a miscarriage at 11 weeks.
After announcing that they were expecting again in July 2020, Perri shared that the baby had been "born silent" that November.
The two welcomed Pixie nearly two years later in October 2022.
Perri published a children's book inspired by her hit song "A Thousand Years" in April.
