CBI nabs 3 MES officers, aide in bribery case

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today said that they have arrested four persons, including three officers of Military Engineer Services (MES), Sagar, M.P. and one middleman, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 from a man.
The CBI registered the case against Nitesh Kumar Singh, Garrison Engineer (GE) of MES, Sagar (M.P.), and Rajesh Mishra, a middleman, alleging they demanded a 2% bribe (Rs. 1,00,000) of the contract value for handing over the site to a contractor for repair and maintenance work.
After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept a bribe of Rs 80,000 (on 1.5%), of the contract value from the complainant.
