Carlsberg Group launches first IT Global Capability centre in Gurugram

New Delhi, Sept 3 (UNI) Carlsberg Group, one of the world’s leading brewers, on Wednesday announced the launch of its first-ever IT Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Gurugram, marking a key milestone in its global digital transformation strategy.
The GCC, anchored in Gurugram with support from Hyderabad, will deliver managed IT services, infrastructure operations, and application support across Carlsberg’s global operations. The initiative is being executed in partnership with global IT services and consultancy provider GSPANN, and will employ over 300 professionals in its first phase, with further expansion on the anvil.
“This centre marks a critical milestone in our Accelerate SAIL strategy,” said Esther Wu, CIO, Carlsberg Group. “With India’s exceptional technology talent and GSPANN’s support, the GCC will strengthen our IT backbone, accelerate digital transformation, and embed new capabilities into our global operations.”
The hub will focus on automation-led operations, enterprise standardization, and building resilient digital foundations for the group’s presence in over 150 markets worldwide.
Anurag Pandey, CTO of Carlsberg Group, said the GCC would unify and scale the company’s IT landscape globally, enabling faster go-to-market and smarter use of data.
AP Grover, Co-Founder and President of GSPANN, added that the centre would serve as a “transformation engine,” combining scale, speed, and sustainability.
Founded in 1847, Carlsberg Group employs over 37,000 people and has operations in more than 150 markets.
