Bangladesh’s National Citizen Party hopes to be fully registered by June 15

Dhaka, June 9 (UNI) The National Citizen Party (NCP) – the official political unit of Bangladesh’s Students Against Discrimination (SAD) which led toppled the Sheikh Hasina government in August last year– is hoping to complete its full registration as an official political party by June 15, a top leader said on Monday.
"We hope to complete the registration application process by the 15th of this month, which is required for participating in elections," NCP's chief organiser Sarjis Alam said while speaking to reporters here.
The ‘students'’ party, has already formed committees in 100 upazilas across around 22 districts and is working to establish offices as part of the registration requirements.
