AAP alleges irregularities as Delhi govt allows liquor shops to remain open on Holi festival

New Delhi, March 3 (UNI) AAP today slammed the BJP-led government in the national capital over its decision to allow the liquor shops in Delhi to remain open on the occasion of Holi festival, alleging that the move amounts to a “real liquor scam”.
In a statement, the Aam Aadmi Party claimed that while liquor vends are usually closed across many parts of the country during major festivals such as Holi, the Delhi government has decided to keep them operational this year.
Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia criticised the decision in a post on X, alleging that it would allow large-scale earnings on a festival day. He questioned whether central agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) or the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) would examine the matter.
