‘My house, not govt property’: MLA’s wife Tabasum on PHC lock row in Anantnag

Srinagar, May 6 (UNI): Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a case against the wife and son of Congress MLA Peerzada Mohammad Syed for allegedly locking a Primary Health Centre (PHC) and obstructing public servants from performing their duties, officials said.
The case was registered at Achabal Police Station in Anantnag district against Dr. Tabasum, wife of Peerzada Syed, and their son, who have been accused of interfering with officials from the Health and Medical Education (HME) and Revenue departments while they were performing official duties.
The FIR was lodged on May 4 following a complaint by the Tehsildar Kokernag, alleging that the duo engaged in harassment, issued threats, and obstructed official work. It further stated that they unlawfully locked the PHC at D.K. Pora in Medical Block Larnoo, disrupting essential healthcare services and inconveniencing the public.
