ZPM wins Mizoram's Lone Rajya Sabha seat

Aizawl, June 18 (UNI) The ruling Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) on Thursday secured Mizoram's lone Rajya Sabha seat, with senior party leader K. Laltluangkima, also known as Laltluangkima Khiangte, emerging victorious in the election held at the State Legislative Assembly.
The result marks a shift in the Upper House representation from the opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) to the ruling party.
Returning Officer and Assembly Secretary Zothansanga Ralte declared Laltluangkima elected after receiving approval from the Election Commission of India.

Bhubaneswar, July 10 (UNI) In a landmark judgment aimed at protecting temple properties, the Member of the Odisha Board of Revenue has directed the Jatni Tahsildar to correct the current Record of Rights (RoR) of a disputed land parcel by recording it in the name of Lord Jagannath Bije, Puri, represented by the Shri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee.
