YSRCP delegation meets  SEC, complain her poll violence

Vijayawada, Feb 17 (UNI) A delegation of YSRCP leaders, including MLA Thathiparthi Chandrasekhar, MLC Lella Appi Reddy, former MLA Malladi Vishnu, and NTR District YSRCP President Devineni Avinash, met State Election Commissioner (SCE) Nilam Sawhney here on Monday and filed a complaint regarding electoral violence, particularly in Tuni.

MLA Chandrasekhar stated that democracy in the State is being undermined by intimidation tactics, questioning how Telugu Desam Party could win in areas where they lack representation.

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 13 (UNI) The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) on Tuesday registered a crucial victory in the special election to the newly constituted Vizhinjam ward of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, dealing a significant setback to the ruling CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) in a keenly fought civic contest that had wide political ramifications.
According to official results, Congress candidate K.H. Sudheer Khan, representing the UDF, won the Vizhinjam seat by a narrow margin of 83 votes, polling 2,902 votes.
