Youth should shed hesitation, start creating value for the world : Nirmala

Madurai, July 18 (UNI) “Youth must shed their hesitation to take risks. They should choose to build rather than wait, and to create rather than merely participate in the technological and economic transformation underway in the country", union Finance Minister Ms Nirmala Sitharaman said on Saturday.
The aim should be to create value, generate intellectual property, build for the nation, the world, and future generations. They should contribute towards realising the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047", she said, in her keynote address at the Special Plenary Session of YiFi 2026, the two-day national financial entrepreneurship summit organised by Young Indians (Yi), an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) held in this Temple Town of Tamil Nadu.
Observng that today’s generation is far better equipped and has access to significantly greater opportunities than those who came of age three decades ago, she recalled that in earlier times, people had to actively seek information, travel to explore opportunities, and rely on personal networks. “There was even a time when one needed the recommendation of a Member of Parliament to obtain a telephone connection,” she remarked.
