Youth Found Dead on Railway Track in Bokaro’s Bansimli; Suicide Suspected Over Debt

Bokaro, Nov 10 (UNI) A 25-year-old youth, identified as Birbal Acharya, was found dead on a railway track in Bansimli village under the Balidih police station area of Bokaro district on Monday morning. Police suspect that the youth may have died by suicide due to financial stress and debt burden.
According to police sources, the deceased worked as a contract labourer at the Bokaro Steel Plant. Family members revealed that Birbal had been under severe mental stress for several days as he was struggling with a debt of around ₹2 lakh.
His father, Kartik Acharya, told police that Birbal had earlier expressed suicidal thoughts, saying that he might “end his life by jumping in front of a train” if he failed to repay his debt. Concerned, the father had managed to give him ₹2 lakh recently, hoping it would help relieve his distress. However, Birbal’s mental condition reportedly did not improve.
