Yash Chopra Foundation announces YCF Scholarship Program 2026

Mumbai, Apr 10 (UNI) The philanthropic arm of Yash Chopra Foundation (YCF), has announced the launch of the YCF Scholarship Programme 2026, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the higher education aspirations of children from families associated with the Hindi film industry.
This is the second year of this initiative and further demonstrates its commitment to supporting the higher education of children from families associated with Bollywood.
This scholarship program is open to children of registered Hindi film industry workers and YCF fellow members, who play a vital role in the film industry ecosystem. YCF will provide financial assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh to each student to help them achieve their life goals.
This initiative will enable eligible students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate education at accredited institutions in India for the academic year 2026–27. Selection will be based on academic merit and financial need.
The program supports students pursuing studies in a variety of professional and creative fields, such as film studies, media and communication, animation and visual effects, cinematography, direction, and visual arts. This year, it has also expanded to include postgraduate courses in professional streams such as engineering, medical and paramedical sciences, business and management, law, and information technology. The scholarship will cover the tuition fees for eligible courses.
Akshay Widhani, CEO, YRF, said, “We are delighted to launch the second year of the YCF Scholarship Program, empowering children from families in the Hindi film industry to dream big and build a sustainable future through education. This year's expansion reflects our commitment to help the 60 per cent of film industry families who face challenges with education costs, as revealed in the YCF Partner Survey. These scholarships are being offered with the aim of securing a bright future for these children. We urge all eligible families to apply soon.” UNI NST CDS
