WPL: Lizelle's 67 powers Delhi Capitals to win over UP Warriorz

Navi Mumbai, Jan 14 (UNI) Lizelle Lee delivered a match-defining performance as Delhi Capitals Women registered a comfortable seven-wicket victory over UP Warriorz Women in the seventh match of the Women’s Premier League 2026 at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy here on Wednesday.
Chasing a target of 155, Delhi rode on Lee’s authoritative 67 off 44 balls to reach 158 for three in 20 overs. The South African opener’s innings, laced with eight fours and three sixes, ensured the chase never drifted off course and firmly tilted the contest in Delhi’s favour.
Lee set the tone early, combining aggression with smart shot selection. She added a crucial 94-run opening partnership with Shafali Verma, who contributed a steady 36 off 32 balls. The stand, put together in just 11.3 overs, effectively deflated UP bowling plans and reduced the pressure on the middle order.
