US extends visa sanctions on Palestinian Authority, PLO Officials

Washington, Sept 17 (UNI) The United States on Thursday extended visa sanctions against members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and officials of the Palestinian Authority (PA), accusing them of failing to meet commitments made to Washington and of pursuing actions that undermine prospects for peace. The US State Department said it had notified Congress that the PLO and PA had "once again" failed to comply with commitments under the PLO Commitments Compliance Act of 1989 (PLOCCA) and the Middle East Peace Commitments Act of 2002 (MEPCA).
