Passengers across UK face delays and cancellations as technical issues hamper air control

London, Sep 21 (UNI) Passengers across the UK faced flight delays and cancellations on Monday after a technical problem with air traffic control systems at Nats' Prestwick centre in Scotland. Nats said it detected the issue "early this morning", but stressed that it was unrelated to the software failure on September 8 that led to around 2,000 flight cancellations. A few hours later, Nats said the problem had been fixed and attributed it to a connectivity issue within its systems network, reports BBC. The disruption continued to affect passengers, however.
