US ban on Canadian alcohol, dairy, motorcycles takes effect

Ottawa, Sep 29 (UNI) A US ban on a range of Canadian imports, including alcoholic beverages, dairy products and certain motorcycles, has come into effect as trade tensions between the two neighbouring countries continue. The measures, imposed by the Trump administration, target nearly $1bn worth of Canadian goods, including alcohol, whey products and motorcycles. The American Action Forum estimates the broader list of affected Canadian imports at about $19.9bn.
