Netanyahu's bloc takes lead in opinion polls ahead of Israeli elections but falls short of majority

Jerusalem, Oct 2 (UNI) Ahead of the upcoming Israeli Knesset elections on October 27, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc of supporting parties has taken the lead in a new opinion poll ahead of the general elections, although neither it nor the opposition is projected to secure a parliamentary majority. The poll, conducted by Zman Yisrael, The Times of Israel's sister site, puts Netanyahu's Likud party and opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar faction level at 21 seats each.
