North Korea fires suspected ballistic missile into East Sea

Seoul, Sep 20 (UNI ) North Korea fired a suspected ballistic missile towards the East Sea on Sunday, South Korea's military and Japan's Defense Ministry said. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said it detected the launch from North Korea's eastern coast, but did not immediately provide details on the type of missile or its flight path. Japan's Defense Ministry said the projectile had fallen into the sea shortly after the launch and is believed to have landed outside Japan's exclusive economic zone.
