Workers are the fuel: Industry body welcomes ₹15,220 min wage of unskilled workers

Chandigarh, Apr 8 (UNI) The Haryana government's decision to significantly increase the minimum wages of unskilled workers has garnered widespread appreciation from various industry sectors.
The move, finalized during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday, is being viewed as a transformative step toward enhancing labour welfare and strengthening the state's industrial foundation.
Expressing his approval of the initiative, Krishan Yadav, President of the Rewari Chamber of Commerce and Industries, extended his gratitude to the Chief Minister for what he described as a landmark measure for the labor force. Yadav noted that the revision of the monthly minimum wage from Rs 11,275 to Rs 15,220, as previously hinted during the Budget Session, is a vital intervention that ensures much-needed financial security for millions of workers across Haryana.
