Women across Bengal to seize the "night" on eve of 78th Independence Day to protest crime against them

Kolkata, Aug 14 (UNI) At the stroke of midnight the netizens across West Bengal, especially the women, would seize the avenues, crossings and thoroughfares on Wednesday in response to "Meyera Raat er Dokhol Nao" (Women seize the night) to protest the alleged rape and murder of a lady trainee doctor inside the government-owned RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on Friday.
Scores of premeditated assembly points have been earmarked across the state with request to all the citizens, especially the women, through the social media campaign to report at the stroke of 11.55 PM in response to “Meyera Raat er Dokhol Nao" campaign on the eve of Independence Day to protest the
crime against the women.
