Woman arrested with suspected heroin in Arunachal capital; NDPS case registered

Itanagar, Apr 18 (UNI) Continuing its crackdown on drug trafficking, the Itanagar police has arrested a woman during a raid at A-Sector here and recovered suspected heroin weighing approximately 23.34 grams, along with syringes, from her possession.
The accused, identified as Yater Nyona, was apprehended based on credible intelligence inputs. A case has been registered at Itanagar Police Station vide Case No. 96/26 under Sections 21(b), 27A, and 29 of the NDPS Act.
Police said that investigation is currently underway, and efforts are being made to trace her possible linkages in the drug network.
