Wolvaardt joins Healy on back-to-back WWC hundreds list

Navi Mumbai, Nov 2 (UNI) Laura Wolvaardt etched her name further into the annals of women’s cricket history, scoring back-to-back centuries in the Women’s World Cup, including a sparkling 101 off 98 balls in the final against India.
The South African captain had already scored a century in the semifinal against New Zealand, and her calm, calculated approach in the final once again highlighted her class and consistency.
Wolvaardt became only the second player in World Cup history, men’s or women’s, to score a hundred in both the semifinal and final of the same edition, after Australia’s Alyssa Healy achieved the feat in 2022.
