Auckland, June 19 (UNI) In a seismic shift that has captivated the cricketing world, Kane Williamson, New Zealand's revered captain and prolific batsman, has decided to step down from his role as white-ball captain and decline the national central contract. "This is a good way to help keep Kane in the international game so that he continues to play a major role for the Blackcaps—both now and in the years to come. NZC has a strong preference to select centrally contracted players for the Blackcaps, but we’re happy to make an exception for our greatest-ever batsman."
