Wholesale inflation in October falls to minus 1.21 pc

New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) India's wholesale inflation for October fell to minus1.2 per cent. The fall in inflation in October, 2025 is primarily due to decrease in prices of food articles, crude petroleum & natural gas, electricity, mineral oils and manufacture of basic metals, data released by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry said.
The WPI-based inflation stood at 0.13 pc in September and was 2.75 pc in October last year. Wholesale inflation was in negative territory in July (minus 0.58) and October this year.
The price of crude petroleum & natural gas (-3.13%) and non-food articles (-1.73 pc) decreased in October, 2025 as compared to September, 2025. The prices of minerals (1.72 pc) increased in October, 2025 as compared to September, 2025.
