Heavy rain likely in Konkan and ghat regions till Aug 15, yellow alert for several districts

Pune, Aug 11 (UNI) Heavy rainfall is likely to continue in parts of Maharashtra till August 15, particularly in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Palghar districts, due to moisture-laden winds blowing in from the Arabian Sea, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast. The weather department has also predicted good rainfall over the ghat sections of Raigad, Satara and Pune districts. Mumbai, Thane and Palghar are likely to receive heavy rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the Konkan region and Goa are expected to witness a fresh spell of intense monsoon activity during the week.
