Maha: Madhuri Misal backs Torrent project amid tree-felling row

Pune, Oct 27 (UNI) Defending the proposed Torrent Power project amid mounting opposition over alleged tree felling in the Karjat forest region, Minister of State Madhuri Misal today said that project was vital for Maharashtra's electricity needs, industrial growth and employment generation. She urged environmentalists to trust the government's development agenda and said efforts would be made to convince those opposing the project.
