MNS leader Raj Thackeray visits Karjat to inspect tree felling at Torrent Power project site

Kolhapur/Raigad, Oct 28 (UNI) MNS chief Raj Thackeray today visited Karjat tehsil in Raigad district to inspect the deforestation and tree felling linked to a proposed 3,000-MW pumped storage hydroelectric project by Torrent Power. The visit comes amid a massive pushback from citizens, opposition parties and local groups like the Karjat Taluka Paryavaran Bachao Sangharsh Samiti opposing the planned cutting of 32,490 trees in areas such as Saidongar, Pali, and Kothal Khalati.
