Mumbai Crime Branch takes over probe into firing at Tiger Shroff's car in Juhu; Bishnoi gang link under scanner

Mumbai, Oct 19 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has transferred the investigation into the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff's car in Juhu to the Mumbai Crime Branch, in a move aimed at ensuring a comprehensive investigation into the attack. The Crime Branch will take over the probe from the Juhu police, which had registered a case in connection with the incident.

Given the seriousness of the attack and the Crime Branch's experience in investigating several cases linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the decision has been taken to investigate the matter at a senior level. Mumbai police conducted an overnight search for the assailants following the shooting. Identifying and apprehending the three unidentified shooters remains a major challenge for investigators.

The Crime Branch is also expected to examine whether the attackers have any links with the Bishnoi gang. A case has been registered against three unidentified persons under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act. Police are working to establish the identities of the accused and determine the motive behind the attack. The incident took place in Juhu, where unidentified assailants opened fire at Shroff's car.

His driver, Firdaus, sustained a bullet injury to his left arm and was rushed to Nanavati Hospital for treatment. Security arrangements have been strengthened outside the hospital. After his driver was injured, the actor reportedly took the wheel himself. According to doctors, Firdaus is out of danger.

The shooting has triggered concern in the Juhu area, with investigators examining the circumstances surrounding the attack. The motive behind the firing and the identities of the assailants have yet to be officially established.
