Maha: Solapur journalist bodies demand action under Journalist Protection Act over attack on Nikhil Sukre

Solapur, Oct 2 (UNI) Journalist organisations in Solapur have strongly condemned the alleged attack on Nikhil Sukre, Pune correspondent of Jai Maharashtra news channel, and demanded stringent action against those responsible under the Maharashtra Journalist Protection Act. Representatives of various journalist bodies submitted a memorandum to senior police inspector Arvind Mane at the Police Commissioner's Office, seeking registration of a case under the Journalist Protection Act and strict action against the attackers.
