FDA Seizes 1,394 Kg Chemically Ripened Bananas, Destroys 16,730 Litres Adulterated Milk

Mumbai, Oct 6 (UNI) The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seized 1,394 kg of chemically ripened bananas at Turbhe APMC and destroyed 16,730 litres of detergent-adulterated milk during enforcement drives across the state, officials said on Tuesday. Acting on a tip-off, FDA officials raided a fruit stall at APMC Fruit Market, Sector-19, Turbhe, on October 5 and found bananas being dipped in a solution of BTHILEX (Ethephon 39% SL).
