CBI-ACB arrests WCL supervisor for accepting Rs 40,000 bribe

Nagpur, Sep 30 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Anti-Corruption Bureau , on Wednesday arrested a Senior Supervisor (Civil) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Umred Area, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 from a contractor for facilitating the release of a payment bill, officials said. According to the CBI, a written complaint was received on September 29 alleging that Pawan Nakhate, Senior Supervisor (Civil) at Gokul Murpar Sub Area of WCL's Umred Area, had demanded Rs 50,000, stated to be around two per cent of the contractor's bill amount.
