Sindhudurg becomes 1st district in Maha to implement decision to change names of caste-based 'Wadis' & roads

Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, Oct 12 (UNI) Sindhudurg has become the first district in Maharashtra to implement the decision to change names of caste-based Wadis (settlements) and roads. An official press statement released by DIO here today said that the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department had issued a government decision to replace the caste-based names of settlements and roads in rural villages of the state with names of great men and names related to democratic values.
