West Burdwan prepares BLOs; postal voting starts Tuesday

Asansol, April 14 (UNI) Training has started in West Bengal's West Burdwan district on Tuesday, under a master trainer from the Election Commission of India and the local Sub Divisional Magistrates for the Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
The BLOs are the pillars of the SIR in the state and played a significant role already in the entire process from form submission, collection, deletion, to the adjudication process in West Bengal.
For the first time, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has entrusted the Booth Level Officers (BLO) in every booth to be present from start to the end on the polling day on 23 April in West Burdwan District to identify and isolate the false voters and stop rigging of the polls.
