Welfare minister Chamra Linda blames centre for stalled scholarship payments,

Ranchi, Dec 9 (UNI) Amid growing uncertainty over the disbursement of pending student scholarships in Jharkhand, Tribal Welfare Minister Chamra Linda on Tuesday raised serious concerns over the Centre’s role, stating that technical obstacles persist because the union Government has not released its share of funds.
Speaking to the media in the Assembly premises, Linda said that although the state government has adequate budgetary provision, the lack of clarity from the Centre regarding its contribution is preventing the Finance Department from processing payments.
“The state is trying continuously, but until the Centre’s intention is clear, a solution is not possible,” he remarked, adding that in schemes with Centre state cost-sharing arrangements, the process cannot move forward if the union government does not release its portion.
