Weekend protesters hit Kolkata roads over murder of doctor

Kolkata, Sep 15 (UNI) Weekend protest rallies and demonstrations returned to Kolkata on Sunday as agitators from different sections of society, including former defence officials, students, retired teachers and nursing staff from hospitals, braved heavy rain to demand justice for a woman doctor allegedly raped and murdered in R G Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9.

Former students of the Purulia Sainik Schools, who retired from top posts in the Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy, took out a rally from Jadavpur to Gol Park in south Kolkata.
