We're loyal to BRS: facing defection charges, MLAs respond to Telangana Speaker’s notices

Hyderabad, Sep 12 (UNI) Eight BRS MLAs, who are facing charges of defecting to the ruling Congress, today told the Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker that they were still in the BRS and have not joined the Congress as alleged.
The MLAs submitted their individual written replies in response to notices issued by Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar after the Supreme Court’s July 31 order directing the Speaker to decide within three months on a petition seeking their disqualification proceedings against the 10 BRS MLAs who defected to Congress in 2024.
On July 31, responding to the petitions filed by BRS working President K T Rama Rao and some other BRS MLAs, the Apex court directed the Speaker to decide the disqualification petition as expeditiously as possible and in any case within three months.
