WB: Two KMCs arrested in 24 hours, Jorasanko TMC councillor held in POCSO case

Kolkata, Jun 7 (UNI) The crackdown on Kolkata Municipal Corporation councillors continued after the BJP assumed power in West Bengal, with Mohammad Jasimuddin, councillor of Ward No. 39 in Jorasanko, being arrested on Sunday morning.
With his arrest, the number of KMC councillors arrested in the past 24 hours has risen to two, following the arrest of Ward No. 101 councillor Bappaditya Dasgupta on extortion charges late on Saturday.
According to the police, Jasimuddin was arrested from his residence in Jorasanko after an operation that lasted nearly six hours.

No prescribed uniform for Bihar teachers, but dignified attire mandatory: Deputy CM

Patna, July 21 ( UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Tuesday clarified in the state Assembly that there is no prescribed uniform or specific dress code for teachers in government schools. However, teachers are supposed to attend educational institutions wearing dignified and appropriate attire befitting the teaching profession.
