WB SIR: SC allows excluded persons to vote if appeals allowed before April 21 and 27

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) The Supreme Court Thursday ordered that voters in West Bengal, who are cleared by appellate tribunals for inclusion in electoral rolls at least two days before the elections, will be entitled to vote in the upcoming State Assembly elections.
Elections in West Bengal are scheduled to be held in two phases - on April 23 and April 29.
The Court directed that the appellants, whose appeals against exclusion from the rolls are allowed by Appellate Tribunals before April 21 (for the first phase) or April 27 (for the second phase), should be included in the supplementary rolls, so that they can cast their vote on the respective polling dates - April 23 (for first phase) and April 29(for second phase).
