VP Dhankhar inaugurates "Prerna Sthal' at Parliament house

VP Dhankhar inaugurates

New Delhi, June 16 (UNI) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday inaugurated 'Prerna Sthal' at the Parliament house, in the presence of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and 17th Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
The 'Prerna Sthal' has been built in a way to ensure the convenience of dignitaries and other visitors who will be able to see and pay tributes to the statues of great leaders and freedom fighters in one place inside the Parliament House Complex.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating Vice President Dhankhar said, " I got inspiration by coming to 'Prerna Sthal'...this place isn't any less than a religious place to all Indians...visiting the great leaders, how it can influence us, I witnessed it after coming here...this is motivational and inspirational. Whoever spends little time here will be inspired".
Speaker of 17th Lok Sabha Om Birla said, "The People get inspiration from these great men..I think that the Prerna Sthal will always inspire the coming generations."
He added "The present and future generations will know about the great revolutionary cultural, and spiritual re-awakening and those who have increased the pride of India in history".
After the unveiling of the 'Shilapatt' during the inauguration programme, dignitaries also offered floral tributes to the Statues.
Earlier, these statues were located at different places in the complex, which made it difficult for visitors to properly see them. These great Indians made significant contributions to the history of India, the cultural renaissance, and the freedom struggle.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh and Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw, Arjun Ram Meghwal and L Murugan and other members of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha were present at programme.
