Paris, Aug 13 (UNI) The eagerly awaited verdict on Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s appeal has been postponed, with a new decision date set for August 16.
"By application of Article 18 of the CAS Arbitration Rules for the Olympic Games, the President of the CAS Ad Hoc Division extends the time-limit for the Panel to give a decision until 16 August 2024 at 18h00 (Paris time)," the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said in a statement.
The case centers around Phogat’s disqualification from the Women’s Wrestling 50kg event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
