Villagers from Delhi's rural belt hold Mahapanchayat, demand abolition of toll tax

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Thousands of villagers from Delhi's rural belt gathered at the Urban Extension Road-II near Bakkarwala-Mundka plaza today expressing their displeasure over the toll tax being charged from the residents of Delhi's villages around the corridor.
The villagers from Delhi's rural belt staged a peaceful demonstration, following the traditions of the Panchayat led by the pradhans of the respective Khaps under the leadership of Chaudhary Surendra Solanki, chief of Palam 360.
They resolved to hold demonstrations if the government does not abolish the toll tax by September 20.
