Viksit Bharat vision hinges on sustainable farming, rural prosperity, says Om Birla

New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) ‎Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today underscored the pivotal role of agriculture in India's development journey, asserting that the country's goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047 can only be achieved through the empowerment of farmers, villages and the rural economy.
‎Speaking at the inaugural session of a two-day national conference on “Sustainable Agriculture for Viksit Bharat@2047: Tradition, Technology and Tangible Outcomes” in the national capital, he said sustainable agriculture, innovation and scientific research would be central to building a prosperous and self-reliant India.
‎“India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation by 2047 passes through its farms, fields and villages,” Birla said, noting that the convergence of traditional agricultural knowledge and modern technological advancements would help transform the country into a global agricultural powerhouse.
