Viksit Bharat Requires Collective Participation, Says Om Birla

New Delhi, June 8 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today asserted that the vision of "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) is a national pledge that demands the active participation of every citizen and institution, stressing that the country's policies, programmes and legislative framework must be aligned with the aspirations of a changing society and the needs of a new generation.
‎Addressing the inaugural session of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-II (North Zone) Conference at the Haryana Legislative Assembly in Chandigarh, Birla said the goal of transforming India into a developed nation could be achieved only through collective effort, public participation and people-centric governance.
‎“The resolve of Viksit Bharat is a national pledge in which everyone must cooperate,” Birla said, stressing that policies, schemes, programmes and budgetary provisions should be designed in a manner that brings meaningful change to the life of the last person in society.
